I'm addicted to caffeine, and I get my dose of Coke / Pepsi and anything else. I do no coffee or tea. I tried my Ween away from him so I can stop drinking pop all together, but it does not work. I tried last year for Lent and it was horrible. I had a headache all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and Friday 22 hours, I started to vomit. Since then, I have not spent more than a day without a Coke. My question is … is to quit cold Turkey, a bad idea? How long should I deal with headaches and vomiting before my body has adapted to not having caffeine? If a bad idea, does anyone have any suggestions? Drinking pop so staining of the teeth and I really just want to get rid of this constant need of caffeine! (
Depending on the amount of soda you drink a day, you can try a more gradual. Try having a soda with caffeine in the morning and if you have another chance Sprite or 7-up the rest of the day of the week # 1. Week # 2 drink only caffeine and soda water. Week # March 1-caffinated Soda drink in the morning and the rest of drinking water per day. Week # 4 drink Perrier, Pellegrino, or private label carbonated water in the morning. This gives you a taste of the bubbles you're used to soft drinks. Then today's soft drink regularly drinking water and rest. By Week # 5, you should be out soft drinks containing caffeine altogether. Drink water only. To fight against headaches and effects side, you can take 1-2 Excedrin (which contains caffeine) and it will help during the early phase. The side effects should fade in after 14 days. Another quick solution is to eat 1-2 small squares of a Hershey bar. This will give you a small amount of caffeine should be sufficient to meet your side of residual effects. This method worked for me. I've been a lifetime Diet Coke drinker, has not like coffee or tea either. You'll feel better, sleep better and be much healthier without the soda. These are my favorite disc. I usually do mine in bed bath and beyond, but my last two trips they have gone, I'll have to get them on Amazon, I guess.
I really REALLY sweet drinks, so I have the physician of the mine. I use the hard disk milk and espresso, then I use the same disc a second time for my drink. I add two packets of Splenda, a little caramel (sugar), then the whole with an ounce or two of French vanilla sugar Coffee Mate (liquid). Perfect!
I can create almost the same drink with reg or decaf espresso discs by adding more of my caramel I had to do since I can not find these records on site.
For price and convenience can not be beaten. Yes, it is a two step process with the disc and then the cream, espresso, but it is better than an espresso machine steam and cream. No mess and simple. Gevalia Caramel Macchiato and my Tassimo is a great combo .... I like the taste too ... BTW
Just tried it, it is one of my favorites for the Tassimo machine. Just to give you an idea of my tastes, I like the other products that are on the Tassimo Gevalia cappuccino / latte, cappuccino Starbucks / latte, hot chocolate and Suchard. Gevalia Swiss Hazelnut Coffee is ok. Maxwell House Cappuccino is allowed. Not a big fan of Starbucks Verona roast fat. Milka hot chocolate is horrible.
Recently I bought my Tassimo and have spent a lot of money on different T-discs to try all the different flavors and drinks. This Latte Caramel Macchiato is one of my favorites. While it is not as sweet as any something you could look at local coffee shoppe, but the addition of a packet of Splenda adds just the right amount of sweetness to what I consider to be drink equal to (if not better) than what I pay a lot more money to the coffee shoppe, and much healthier as well.
As a beginner for Tassimo system, I also like the Gevalia Skinny Cappuccino. I was wondering if anyone knew if they sell the fat free cream packaged as they sell cappuccino and latte other frothy milk T-discs.
