Low Acid Coffee
Running an office can be a very stressful job. Throughout my years of service to my company I have had many great experiences as well as some that provoked anxiety. I have learned that a good cup of coffee can be my best friend and my worst enemy. I love the energy drink but I hate the effects on my stomach especially during times of great stress. Low acid coffee promises relief to my dilemma.

Low acid coffee serves the same energy-inspiring service supplied by the traditional beans but without the acidity. I am dependant on my morning brew but I also don’t want to have the acidity of the beverage wreck havoc on my digestive system. Nausea and a stress filled afternoon in the office don’t make a good pair.

Some people can drink coffee that tastes like mud. These individuals are looking more at the effects of the energy drink rather than the taste. I, on the other hand, really like to enjoy my morning brew. Good taste and low acid coffee do not always go hand in hand. After months of trying different low acid coffee brands I discovered two that are top notch in my book.

Helva coffee is my personal favorite brand. This low acid coffee is indistinguishable from a regular cup of java. Actually, it is better than average. This low acid coffee has the taste and smoothness that we demand in the best gourmet Arabica beans found on the market. Does Helva coffee stand up to its Arabica counterpart? It definitely does and I don’t have to worry about stomach upset.

I usually purchase this brand online which makes it even more convenient. I have two supplies; one goes to my home and one goes to the office. My Helva low acid coffee is my favorite discovery since finding my great personal assistant. This brand is top of the line as far as taste. In addition, it is the one of the least expensive low acid coffee I have found which is another perk.

Any business person knows that it is very important to have a back up plan. This holds true even for low acid coffee. When it comes to the special blend of coffee beans, Puroast comes in a close second. This brand is not Arabica quality but it is better than your average low acid coffee. Actually, it is better than your average regular brew as well.

Helva low acid coffee is my first pick but I definitely will never turn down a cup of Puroast. Either way, I am free of the acidity of regular java and I have a new lease on my coffee enjoying life.

The Coffee Diet

Coffee Diet

Among the plethora of diets that come and go none have gotten my interest more quickly than the coffee diet. This would only seem reasonable because I am an avid lover of java. Ironically, I fell into the coffee habit when I was a teenager. My mother suggested that I drink a cup of black coffee every morning to curb my appetite.

The proponents of the coffee diet suggest that anyone who wants to shed a few pounds should do the same. However, this weight loss approach needs to be looked at a little deeper before we all jump (quite literally) on the coffee diet bandwagon. With so many get-thin-quick schemes floating around it is best to take a step back and consider the situation before starting any program.

Of course, the first step to any weight loss program is to pay a visit to your doctor. A complete physical never hurt anyone and your physician will have valuable insight into the coffee diet approach. Another person you may want to visit is your nutritionist. You may find through these two visits that a coffee diet is the right thing for your weight loss needs.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of weight loss programs out there. Some use specific combinations of food. These combinations are created with the goal of reducing caloric intake. Everyone knows that the fewer calories you take in, the more fat you take off.

However, not all of these combinations are realistic or particularly healthy, either. Choosing a program that is too demanding may work at first, but you will inevitably fall back into your old routine.

The coffee diet boasts practically effortless progress in your dieting success. If you love a cup of java in the morning or throughout the day, you may need to include at least a cup of the beverage in your diet.

The interesting thing about the coffee diet is that coffee is not the foundation of the program. This doesn’t seem to make sense at first, but bear with me while I take a sip. Proponents of the coffee diet strongly urge you to eat well throughout the day. By well, they mean healthy food in small portions.

The coffee diet simply allows you moderate intake of coffee throughout the day. The coffee needs to be pure. Lattes and cappuccinos are off the list.

One thing that may be a negative factor is your insulin. Caffeine can make your blood sugar unstable. The insulin in your body will not be able to process it properly and it winds up stored in the body as fat. When you take on the coffee diet, make sure that you don’t drink too much.

Coffee Gift Baskets

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Coffee Gift BasketsThe revolution of franchise coffee stores has created a larger market of coffee drinkers than ever before. People who were once difficult to shop for can be surprised by coffee gift baskets given to them by a friend, colleague or loved one. They are relatively inexpensive and suitable for just about every occasion.

gift-basket.jpg

Some come with a variety of coffees that expose coffee drinkers to new flavors. Samplers can include coffee made from different countries and like wine, introduce a coffee drinker to flavors and textures that go beyond the everyday cup of Joe. Coffee gift baskets also come with sweets that one can enjoy with coffee. Some of the most popular inserts in coffee gift baskets would be Biscotti, an Italian crunchy cookie that usually is in stick form. It can be dunked in coffee to loosen its texture and the flavors available tend to enhance the flavors of coffee with white or dark chocolate and cinnamon. Flavored creamers are an excellent companion included in coffee gift baskets. The exotic coffee flavors can be paired with a smooth creamer to add depth and texture.  This is every coffee drinker’s dream!

Beyond flavored creamers, liqueurs such as Khalua, Irish crème and amaretto can also be found in some coffee gift baskets. This adds a great experience for those after dinner coffee drinkers. If you want to add some personality to coffee gift basket, include a set of mugs that give the gift a theme. For example, know a big football fan that drinks coffee? Include a set of coffee mugs that is themed towards their favorite team or the two teams who were in the most recent Super Bowl.  Many times retailers take the guesswork out of this type of gift giving by providing pre-packaged sets.

Along this same theme there are specialized versions for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and even Christmas. These types of coffee gift baskets will generally come with a mug that celebrates the holiday with a saying or image on it, along with a variety of coffees and perhaps some chocolate.

Ultimately there are plenty of choices when you are considering purchasing one. They are a unique gift that can be personalized and delivered on a one time, semi-annual or monthly basis through a coffee club. There are even more options offered by major retailers who create pre-packaged sets to provide an easy gift option for the coffee lover. Whether you are shopping for a relative, friend of the nice accountant who does your taxes, keep your eyes open for coffee gift baskets that will make shopping easier and put a smile on a coffee lover’s face.

CGA to protest against Coffee Board – Newindpress(Coffee News)

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, the Association president, B M Suresh alleged that the Agriculture Insurance Company and Coffee Board were dilly-dallying when the growers approached them to get the insured amount. The Board and the insurance company had jointly launched insurance cover for coffee six months back, he said. Hundreds of growers had paid the premium and got crop insurance cover. But due to incessant rainfall, the growers had failed to get good yield and approached the company for insured amount, he added. He urged the insurance company and Coffee Board to distribute the assured amount to growers before December 20. The Growers Association leaders B S Prakash, P Omprasad and B S Siddappa were present. Coffee Bean Roaster

Monday, December 10th, 2007

“Coffee Bean Roaster”Coffee beans that are off a gourmet variety are then sold to a large coffee bean roaster company or green coffee brokers. Green coffee is also called raw coffee. From the coffee bean roaster it is sorted and sometimes processed again. Then the coffee bean is put in large drum machines to be roasted. The coffee is then sealed in bags and sent to the market.

coffee-bean-roaster.jpg

If you want the entire java experience including buying green or raw beans and then roasting them at home, you’ll need your own coffee bean roaster. A roaster is a drum shaped machine and the heat is brought to the drum by different ways such as by electricity, gas fire, or by infra red means. The heat generated by the coffee bean roaster through metal in the drums is termed “conductive roasting.” There is another kind of class of this type of coffee bean roaster which is combination drum roasting. This type of roasting uses a hot stream of air which is streamed into the drum of the roaster. This is much like roasting the coffee beans on a sheet inside of an oven.

Another type is one that uses hot air to roast the beans. In this type of roaster an extremely hot stream of air is forced into the roaster and it suspends and cooks the beans as this is called convention roasting. This type of roasting takes less time but there is a limit to how many beans one can roast using this type of coffee bean roaster. So you can roast coffee faster using this type of coffee bean roaster but you will not be able to roast as many beans doing it.

You can go high tech to get your initial caffeine fix every day by using infra-red waves to roast the beans. This method of coffee bean roasting is efficient as it brings much energy into the beans but it takes a longer time to roast the beans than with a convectional coffee bean roaster.

If you want to spend the time or money involved to make your coffee from almost scratch get yourself a roaster and get to work.

Personalized Coffee Mug

What is that one thing you have to have each and every morning before you can truly start the day? No, I’m not talking about your extra strength mouthwash. I’m talking about something that doesn’t burn your mouth and make your eyes water. Something that actually calms your senses, comforts your taste buds and makes you grin with satisfaction. Yeah, that’s right; now you’ve got it. COFFEE! What else could it possibly be! Only the smooth, fresh java will do the trick. Now, do you have your special personalized coffee mug to put it in? After all, it may not taste as good without that one of a kind mug. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, don’t fret.

A personalized coffee mug is one thing that every coffee lover should acquire at some point. Speaking of a personalized coffee mug, I just purchased one of these for my wife the other day. It read “My wife is clearly the smartest woman in the world. After all, she married me!” Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking. This is clearly a coffee mug for me. However, she can use it whenever she likes. I’m not greedy. Anyway, not only is a personalized coffee mug imperative; but the right brew is essential as well. So don’t think for one second that you could dump just any old java in your personalized coffee mug. It has to be freshly ground and not too old. Not too old translates as it should have been roasted and bagged less than two weeks ago. Are you drinking fresh coffee each day? If you’re like most of America, I seriously doubt it. Chances are you’re sipping down that canned grocery store stuff. YUCK! Who knows when that was roasted. My guess is sometime during the Bronze age. What do you think?

coffee-mug.jpg

Get on your computer now! This is probably the absolute most ideal place to brows for the latest and greatest personalized coffee mug. In fact, why not take it a step further than just having your name slapped on the side. Some websites offer more intricate detailing. Get that personalized coffee mug of your dreams and use it for the rest of your days. Oh yeah; make sure that it doesn’t get used by the kids. This is always trouble. Trust me; my first one got smashed by a Big Wheel.

Espresso Machine Reviews

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

Espresso Machine ReviewsDon’t you just love a piping hot shot of java? I mean an ounce of straight rich espresso. Wince hard as it races down your throat. Ahhh! Now wasn’t that amazing? Well, it certainly is for some folks. I’ve known a few individuals in my day that enjoy straight-up liquefied coffee beans. It’s definitely got to be an acquired taste. As for me, I’m not interested in the hard stuff. I might as well take a shot of whiskey. However, I am a big fan of espresso based drinks. I love to guzzle down a creamy iced latte, or sip on a fine cappuccino. Hey, who the heck doesn’t? Well, of course there is my brother, but he is without a doubt one of the few. As for the rest of us, coffee is a daily treat. We take advantage of this caffeine-infused incomparable beverage practically every morning. Some folks can’t start the day without it. So, have you considered whipping up these wonderful concoctions on your own? I’m talking in the privacy of your own home. All you need is a quality espresso machine. These days with the numerous espresso machine reviews located in cyberspace, it’s rather easy to find one that suits your budget and habit.

espresso-machine.jpg

About a year and a half ago I took advantage of several espresso machine reviews on the World-Wide-Web. I figured this was the best way to weed through all the madness. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, there are products and competitors galore out there these days. Unfortunately not all of them are as good as promised. Anyway, after doing some recon work with espresso machine reviews, I found one that sounded ideal for my wife and I. It is called a Trevi Automatica, or something rather. Regardless of the bizarre name, it works like a charm. We’ve had it for over a year now and still no problems. I have to give many thanks to those helpful espresso machine reviews I found online. Without them I never would have even heard of this particular machine. Other than simple espresso machine reviews, you’ll want to decide on some specifics you’re looking for. For example, how much are you willing to spend? Although these machines run into the thousands, we set a 500 dollar limit when we went shopping. Now, you may think this sounds high. I encourage you to consider what you spend weekly on espresso drinks. These handy machines pay for themselves rather quickly.
