I had a Braun coffee maker (no coffee machine) that was great for 15 years. The only store here that has brought bankrupt. I could mail order something like it on Amazon, but I would like suggestions about what follows. I would like a cup of coffee and tea 10 to 12 (not a coffee machine and not an espresso or cappuccino). I do not want it to be programmable and I do not want it to have a crushing capacity. The only way to get a good cup of coffee is REAL it must be freshly roasted and ground. There no other way. I tried all that. The coffee never tasted just as good and it can be almost any type grain, ground and all brands was that it was cool! I also discovered that the coffee is stale FAST. Usually after three days, it loses its freshness. And when I mean three days that I mean the quality is always down one day. On day 3, it is acceptable but not fantastic. CONCLUSION: Buy and cold drink, or get your own green beans, learning to roast, and grind it when you need it. Beans in general can be kept a year or more in ideal conditions so you get lots of chances for a large roast.
