My old coffee maker just exhausted and I do not know what to buy.?

I had a Braun coffee maker (no coffee machine) that was great for 15 years. The only store here that has brought bankrupt. I could mail order something like it on Amazon, but I would like suggestions about what follows. I would like a cup of coffee and tea 10 to 12 (not a coffee machine and not an espresso or cappuccino). I do not want it to be programmable and I do not want it to have a crushing capacity. All I want is a coffee machine. I prefer black, but can live without it.:) All opinions would be appreciated. Thank you, Gerry

ground coffee for use with 12-cup pot for "perfect" cup of coffee?

What is the optimal amount of ground coffee for use in pot of 12 cups, based on different standards (Your opinion, SCAA, etc.)? I used 1 / 2 cup to a pot of 12 cups and which has worked well for a while but now I'm reviewing after I used a coffee maker Bunn Industrially, and now I feel spoiled. Please, I do not like coffee snobs come here and the "Cree land use you COFFEE !?!?!? Blasphemy!". I founded my own coffee before and it is not so great.

I use about 6 tablespoons of cooking plain Chock Full o 'brand nuts in an automatic coffee machine for her.
