Why were the 1950s, all about consumerism and greed?

Take a look in the houses of the 1950s;. More people Most cars had started to buy televisions and also in the 1950s, the kitchen you find all sorts of unnecessary items. Blenders, microwaves, timers, blenders, coffee machines, bowls of fruit and novelty radios, a radio cooking! FFS in 1950, many houses have 2 phones, in the living room and a master's. Room 1 Why America so greedy?

This was the era of boom large middle class in the United States. It is time we look back on nostalgia and the complete inaccuracy. the welfare and economic strict regulations permit the emergence of a middle class possible and even if we failed we break our arms patting his back to prosperity This time, we like to forget that rather than create this wealth by reducing the obscene disparity of our upper classes, we (like they) subsidized "prosperity" of the deprivation of the poor. capitalist fundamentalists, as always, claimed then and still claim Now that all prosperity is always produced by the free market capitalists, even if the Welfare and strict regulation has created the middle class has only produced despite the fierce opposition of the capitalists … and besides, even if the fundamentalist capitalist policies in the last thirty years have led directly to the elimination of the middle class. Despite the sacrifices of the movement of organized labor for decades in this country, the capitalists desperately clung just enough to convince people like my parents (through the wash cycle subliminal messages brain mass, aka, commercial advertising) that only the capitalist consumption, convenience products and services at prices affordable " product "prosperity" (as if the bread is "prosperity" itself, and every effort that goes into making them and collecting money to pay for this are totally independent) has the merit of the rise and wealth of the middle class, so my parents bought after this materialistic ideology Republican voted with fairly large portions of the middle class that they finally voted out of the middle class of the existence of their children. "Products and Services" craze actually began at the dawn of the 20th century and probably even a few decades ago. If you really want to see the "products and services infatuation with her look whackiest in equipment and comfort first two or three decades of the 20th century. He is a fundamentalist capitalists (conservatives / Republicans) the ideology of physical possession. You've probably heard of America "Dream" Well, it's the American dream;?. It is totally materialistic and consists only of material goods the "pursuit of happiness "Is the pursuit of money and material possession; more accummulation of physical possession, the greater the degree of happiness. It became (and credible experts agree with me on this point) a form of mass insanity, OCD, self-centered, self-indulgence to an extent that the frontiers of psychopaths: It's all around me, the meaning of my life is more material for self-celebration, I advocate for policies and vote for candidates that work to my advantage disproportionate … or in other words, policies and candidates most likely to cause the greatest degree of harm for the greatest number of people are the best for the interests of the individual as me instnece. Yeah! I am an "individual" if that is harmful to society and humanity good for me! I feel like I've wandered way off topic here, but I put too much effort into this shit to clear for now whether this it's worth, there you go, that's my answer.

What is the best way to remove a stain on kitchen cabinets from a coffee machine?

The vapor of our coffee machine has left a stain on our white kitchen cabinets brown. What is the best way to delete this? Thank you for any help.

try rubbing the stain with a paste of baking soda and water and a soft sponge. Or you can try spraying it down with straight vinegar, let stand for a few minutes, then lightly scrubbing it down. If it does not work, try using the Magic Eraser cleaner … which should help but this may damage the finish on the counter too, be careful. After you get off, you may want to put something under the pot of coffee to thin protect the meter, something like aluminum foil. Just make sure it's not a thick material which can be easily catch fire or get steam musty. Be sure to test a small unobtrusive spot first thing you use. You do not want to damage the surface.

I am cheap because I decorate my house with free stuff.?

I moved to my new address a month ago, and because unforeseen problems i now have to pay twice as much as I did before in the bills, but a friend advised me to collect furniture housing for people who do not, my friend and I use his van to go and collect some, I had a sofa that has only 3 years old, fantastic condition, Flat screen TV and DVD FULL / COMBO from place to place only 2 miles, how brilliant, i vintage coffee table and curtains and lamps and carpets and cooking tips, all free, and all within 7 miles from my house, does make me a cheapskate, or perhaps we should all do more. I think I threw around £ 1000 to date.

Nope, not cheap! Just frugal. Hey, the economy is not the best. It doesn't hurt to put a little money! But when you walk into a fast food joint, and walk, and take stacks of napkins, ketchup packets, and spoons plastic, which is not economical! (I know someone who does what !!!!) This is strange and perhaps illegal. But second hand furniture? No, I think you got a good deal on furniture, especially if it is in good condition. A +!

I'm looking hard for a coffee machine which is good, and hot coffee. I bought and returned several?

I like hot coffee. I tried Senseo. 5 different Mr. Coffee machines, GE, Perculators even at $ 100 Bunn. They all have to make coffee that is hot for me. So who is really happy with their coffee? What is the hottest brand out there. You can say that I am in my coffee. This is the first thing I'm concerned the morning, and I have about 8-10 cups a day, so its natural that I want it my way. I think that manufacturers produce their machines to work with low water temperature for safety reasons. But all elecrtic kettles, stoves and ovens good time to go. Why suffer my coffee? Should I pay $ 250 for a beer commercial? Thank you for your time on this.

I know your problem, my fix was to pop my cup in the microwave for about 30 seconds and give me a cup extra zap of heat. You can also Try warming your cup before filling with coffee by running under hot water for one minute.

What is the perfect coffee?

Hey, im in the cafe and I want to have a perfect coffee. I love hazelnut and French international delicacies vanilla creamer. Need some suggestions!

If you want real coffee, you have to drink black … really. Out for coffee Tea, like Folgers Colombian bodied. There are many, many wonderful, Indonesian and African Hawaiian blends that are out of this world. This is a matter of taste. They are generally strong, dark and full bodied. That's how I like my coffee. Sweetened coffee, sweet, and is just disguised with cream and distastefull for me. Coffee is coffee only. It's just my answer.

Why do people eat Hershey chocolate?

Besides the use of traditional Americana, why people buy this type of chocolate bad? Memories eat as a kid? Yet this is not an excuse – if you grew up on instant coffee and then tried to freshly brewed coffee French pressed with the full range of oils and flavors, you should just be stubborn to continue to drink stirred in coffee crystals. While living Europe in particular I was asked why people buy this "chocolate" in the States, and I never could find a reasonable answer, Then I turn it over to you. Maybe in the 50s, we had nothing better in America, but still! We have access to some great chocolate at affordable prices now, why people subject themselves to the chalk / cheap taste of Hershey? This is a serious issue, serious answers to be appreciated … not "I like / don 't like Hershey!" unless supported with some ideas.

In '50s and '60s, the Hershey chocolate was really good. Like many other products, the quality and quantity has been sacrificed for the price. I a chocolate lover, and really wish I could buy the original product, whatever the price.
